No jargon. Here is what Bikkel is and how it works.

What is Bikkel?
A cast-iron training logbook. Log every set in the gym, plan your routines on desktop, track progress over time, and share the work with a community that gets it. No fluff, no fake motivation — just a tool that remembers what you did.
What does "bikkel" even mean?
Bikkel is Dutch for knucklebone — the bone from the old street game that gave us the word for "a tough one." Calling someone a bikkel means they are hard as nails. That is the whole idea: put in the work, earn the name.
Is it free?
Yes — the core logbook, routines, progress and community are free. A Bikkel Pro tier adds deeper analytics and integrations for people who want them, but you never need it to train.
Do I need both the phone app and the desktop hub?
No. They are one account and one dataset shown two ways. The phone app is where you train — live logging, the rest clock, session recaps. The desktop hub is where you plan and analyse — routine building, progress charts, history. Use one or both; everything stays in sync.
Does it track PRs and estimated 1RM?
Yes. Personal records get stamped automatically and can be shared to the feed. Every logged set feeds volume, estimated 1RM and per-lift trend charts.
KG or LB?
Your choice. Switch units any time in Settings — the whole app follows.
Can I build my own routines?
Absolutely. Build and edit routines from a searchable exercise library, drag to reorder, and tune working sets inline. Changes save automatically.
Is my training data private?
Your logbook is yours. Nothing is posted to the community feed unless you choose to share a session. You control what is public and what stays in the vault.

Still curious?
