A flye done lying on a 45-degree bench between two low pulleys, so the cables pull down and away from the upper chest through the whole arc. The incline angle plus the low pull line loads the clavicular pecs at the stretched position, which is where a dumbbell incline flye is at its weakest.

Breathing & tempo — Inhale as the arms open, exhale as they close. Three seconds out, one second held squeeze at the top, one to two seconds back together.
Where to start, and what to change when it stops being hard.
Start at 5-10 kg per side, lighter than your flat cable flye because the incline lengthens the effective lever at the top. Add weight only once you can pause one second in the squeeze and control a three-second opening on every rep. Range and control first, stack second.
The errors that show up most often, and the cue that fixes each one.
Keep the pad at 45 degrees or a notch below. Above that the front delts take the arc and the upper chest gets very little of it.
Cut the range where the pec stretch stops and the shoulder pinch starts, and lighten the stack. Cables keep pulling at end range in a way dumbbells do not.
Fix the elbow bend at 15-20 degrees and drop the weight until it stays fixed. A flye that turns into a press has lost the only thing that made it worth doing.
Aim the finish over your collarbones. Coming together too high shifts the squeeze to the front delts and pulls your shoulder blades off the pad.
The upper chest fibres run from the collarbone down and out to the arm, so they are best loaded when the arm moves up and across. A 45-degree bench sets that line, and the low pulleys keep the resistance vector opposing it from the bottom of the arc all the way to the top squeeze.
Compare it with an incline dumbbell flye. There, the hardest point is arms-out and the top of the rep is nearly free. Here, the cable is still fighting you when your hands meet over your upper chest, so you get tension at both ends of the range in the same set.
After your incline pressing, 3-4 sets of 10-15, as the isolation that finishes upper-chest work. It is not a replacement for an incline press — it is the accessory that covers the stretched and contracted positions a press glosses over. Once or twice a week is plenty.

Yes, though the effect is smaller than most people assume. The clavicular head of the pec is more active when the arm moves up and across the body, and the 45-degree bench plus low pulley line sets exactly that path. It is a meaningful shift in emphasis, not a different muscle.
Low. With the bench inclined, low pulleys give a resistance line that opposes the arc from bottom to top. Setting them at shoulder height flattens the effect and turns it into an awkward version of a standing crossover.
That is the intended pairing. Press first while you are fresh and can load it, then flye afterwards for the stretched and contracted positions the press does not cover. Three to four sets of each is enough for one upper-chest session.
It is worth a block if one side lags. Working unilaterally lets the hand travel past the midline of your chest at the top, which is a longer contraction than you can get with both handles meeting in the middle, and it stops the strong side quietly doing more of the work. The cost is double the set time and a torso that wants to rotate — brace your free hand on the bench and keep your shoulders square.
